#236 Forum Rules

Posted by Greg Morton on 22 September 2012 - 09:58 AM

*Rules still under development*

Hello everybody!

Thanks for joining the forums. For the most part, we like to keep things pretty relaxed around here. There are a few rules that you should be aware of though, and we reserve the right to add more as we think of them! For your convenience, I've divided them up into two sections.

Common Sense Forum Rules:

These are the rules you should automatically know, things like:

1. Keep your threads in the relevant sections, and your posts relevant to the thread. All links in posts should be relevant to the content in the thread.

2. Don't post anything sexually explicit, discriminating, disgusting, excessively profane, etc. This includes pictures and text.

3. Don't link to anything that contains pornography or illegal content.

4. Don't say anything positive about the PS3.

5. Don't impersonate other users.

6. Staff decisions are law. Arguing will get you nowhere but banned.

(Okay one of these might not be a real rule. Again, common sense people)

Additional TVGB Forum Rules:

These are rules that might not be so common sense, but are our rules anyways so deal with it, like:

1. You can put whatever you'd like in your signature, just keep it looking clean. Got a website or a product? Feel free to link to it. Images should be smaller than about 350x200, and don't use an excessive amount of text.

That's all for now, but more will be coming soon! :)

#6 Favorite Movie Based Video Game?

Posted by Jimmy Khanway on 10 July 2012 - 08:54 PM

Going to have to go with Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. It's the only movie based video game that I can think of that I actually went out of my way to find and play years after it came out. I maxed out Legolas, Aragorn, and Gimli and I still went back through and played over and over and over.

#5 Favorite Movie Based Video Game?

Posted by blasdetejas on 10 July 2012 - 07:56 PM

I was wondering if I'm the only person that has played some enjoyable video games based on movies. The main one that got me thinking of this topic is Terminator 2 on NES. It was the first game my parents got me (after Super Mario of course). I remember the adrenaline rush I would get trying to get away from the 18-wheeler in the ditch.

Anyone want to share good experiences with movie based video games?

#28 Does anyone have a working Dreamcast they are willing to sell?

Posted by Jimmy Khanway on 20 July 2012 - 08:00 PM

Ok, the Sega Dreamcast is hands down my favorite console of all time. I broke mine wayyy back in the day during a pretty heated Ready To Rumble match but that's neither here nor there and I want a new one...well not exactly a new one but a "new" one. You gotta have at least 2 controllers to make this thing a deal and if you have any games let me know so I can tell you which ones I want and which ones you should smash with a hammer.

Also, if you know some motherfucker who has one let me know...or else.Posted Image

#194 Any MOBA or RTS players?

I'm a somewhat new player of Company of Heroes and Starcraft 2, but avid addict of League of Legends and I'll like to play with some more people if interested.

#140 Do you play WoW?

Posted by Greg Morton on 20 August 2012 - 05:17 AM

I recently picked up World of Warcraft again, after many years of not playing it. It's been fun, but I'm seriously lacking people to play with. All of my old friends are long gone, and all the new people that I meet are douchebags.

I'm thinking about doing a server transfer, hoping to find one that might be more active during the evening hours west coast time.

If anyone has any suggestions, or if you play yourself and have a good group of people, let me know!

#71 Favorite Multiplayer

Posted by Cristina on 04 August 2012 - 05:45 AM

Well, I decided to actually try and get SOME sort of discussion going on the forums. I just want your personal opinion on what your favorite multiplayer game is. When Black Ops came out, I put a lot of hours into it and still do every now and then. I'm not saying it's my favorite but it was a game that got me more involved into games so...kudos to you Black Ops. So...what game do you love playing with your fellow gamers? (*hopes this post actually gets responses*)

#70 Favorite Mech game of all time?

Posted by AmenoKaji on 04 August 2012 - 05:30 AM

Woo mechwarrior online, haven't been this excited for a mechwarrior game in awhile. Favorite MechWarrior game I played was actually the "BattleTech" arcade simulator.( http://en.wikipedia....tleTech_Centers ) it cost like 10 bucks to get about 10-15minutes of play time in a pod that had giant speakers behind it and in the seat, and more or less has force feed back, with an entire mech layout with switches everywhere and pedals. greatest thing ever. I jumped in and got a Thor, as a kid this was a awesome experience for me and the graphics were top of the line at the time being mid 90s arcade graphics, better than console games. it was intense. the best part was is that the games were being streamed out to the TVs in the main arcade/bar section so you had the pressure of kicking everyone's ass, because you knew someone was watching that screen. Eitherway me and my brother grouped up and it was team deathmatch, we carried pretty hard it's been years and I don't remember the K/D I just know that during one point I destroyed in a 3v1 situation against equal tier mechs. It was an amaing experience that i was shaking during and after from adrenline.

#529 Peer to Peer Video Game Trading

Posted by GameTrade on 06 April 2013 - 06:52 PM

GameTrade.com will be conducting an online raffle for a Sony Playstation 4 during a fundraiser to help launch the web site this coming May.

Colorado Springs, CO ~ GameTrade.com is raffling off a Sony PlayStation 4 to be given away in its effort to raise funds via crowd funding.  The fundraiser will help to market the upcoming launch of Game Trade on May 1, 2013.  Crowd funding is a great way to support a new business idea with getting a little something in return.  The crowd funding campaign will be managed by fundable.com and can be viewed at www.fundable.com/Gametrade.  The campaign will run the entire month of April.

About Gametrade.com

Purchasing games can be costly, and when you finish playing a game and take it to a retailer to sell, you typically only get back a very small percentage of what you paid. Therefore, losing more money each time you buy a new game.  GameTrade.com solves this problem by allowing gamers to play more games without losing money. The website will allow people to trade Playstation, Xbox, Vita, Nintendo Wii, and Gameboy DS games with other people in their city or town without having to mail anything.  Members can set up their profile, add games they have and want, and make offers to other members for trade.  Once a trade is accepted the members would make arrangements via email to meet up in person and make the exchange.

Tell us what do you think about peer to peer trading?

#23 Do people actually return videogames...even if they are good?

Posted by Jimmy Khanway on 19 July 2012 - 05:26 AM

I went to the mall with my friend today and he said he needed to stop by GameStop on the way home. When we went to go inside he had a few games in his hand which forced me to ask him what videogames he was returning? It turns out he was going to return Mass Effect 2, Portal, Dark Souls and something else that I can't remember.

I fucking love all of those games...well maybe not that one I can't remember...and I really couldn't believe he was going to turn them in for $30. Personally, I never and I mean NEVER return a videogame. I didn't even return HomeFront or Duke Nukem Forever and those games were terrible. My crappy game collection is more or less something I stare at from time to time to remind me to do my homework when videogame shopping or I'll end up with $60 of crap. Am I just crazy or do people still hold on to videogames no matter how shitty they are?

#224 i need options on my new business

Posted by ChrisG on 20 September 2012 - 12:00 AM

Ok my business is www.carboncopybidder.com. Its newly founded and i am trying to get customers and feed back, any would be great and products for me to add would be awesome as well. Its a site where you by tickets for new released and about to be released games, new consoles, systems, and other electronic products. Each tickets range from $1-$2, and for instance the new Assassin's creed 3 would have a ticket price of $1 and their is  only 150 tickets available for that game. If you are randomly selected as it is a system that will randomly draw a ticket from the pool for that item, if thats your ticket you will win it. You will be notified when you are selected, confirmed your address, and you will be sent your prize. So what do you guys think, and would you buy a ticket, not like buy one now, but if you would by a ticket would you be interested in the site. Its live so, im not asking people to buy anything, only asking for gamers opinions.

#20 Favorite Movie Based Video Game?

Posted by Greg Morton on 18 July 2012 - 06:54 AM

I think I gotta say spider man 2 as well. I had a blast swinging around New York for hours and hours on end. I don't know if it was just me or not, but the awesomeness of the whole open world took forever to wear off. Even if the actually story seemed... a bit repetitive (oh look, another place I need to be within the time limit yay...).

I can't think of a certain favorite, but I did LOVELOVE Skyrim's and The Darkness 2. Just sayin'

#174 Final Fantasy VII Remake

Posted by Greg Morton on 28 August 2012 - 07:52 PM

I know this contradicts almost everything true gamers stand for, but Final Fantasy is one series that I have actually never played. Not one single one. So no opinion!
