Thanks for joining the forums. For the most part, we like to keep things pretty relaxed around here. There are a few rules that you should be aware of though, and we reserve the right to add more as we think of them! For your convenience, I've divided them up into two sections.
Common Sense Forum Rules:
These are the rules you should automatically know, things like:
1. Keep your threads in the relevant sections, and your posts relevant to the thread. All links in posts should be relevant to the content in the thread.
2. Don't post anything sexually explicit, discriminating, disgusting, excessively profane, etc. This includes pictures and text.
3. Don't link to anything that contains pornography or illegal content.
4. Don't say anything positive about the PS3.
5. Don't impersonate other users.
6. Staff decisions are law. Arguing will get you nowhere but banned.
(Okay one of these might not be a real rule. Again, common sense people)
Additional TVGB Forum Rules:
These are rules that might not be so common sense, but are our rules anyways so deal with it, like:
1. You can put whatever you'd like in your signature, just keep it looking clean. Got a website or a product? Feel free to link to it. Images should be smaller than about 350x200, and don't use an excessive amount of text.
That's all for now, but more will be coming soon!

I'm thinking about doing a server transfer, hoping to find one that might be more active during the evening hours west coast time.
If anyone has any suggestions, or if you play yourself and have a good group of people, let me know!

I went to the one in San Francisco back in April, and it was fucking EPIC. So much so, that I'm going again in San Jose December 14th, and I'd do it again December 15th, 16th, and 17th if I had the option too.
Every Zelda fan should go to one of these. They've completed most of their tour this year I believe, but there are still some major cities on their list. If you happen to be in San Jose around December, get some tickets and let me know!

No, and why would any gamer want to make the switch? People play Angry Birds when they've got nothing else to do. Ouya will be in the home, where all of my gaming systems are. It's really not a tough decision, £99 to play a game that costs pence on my phone (I admit there will be other games, but no other mobile game has got such a big storm about it), or continue playing the AAA games I've come to know and love on my existing consoles, the next generation consoles to be released over the next few years AND my recent entry into the world of serious PC gaming

In my opinion, this guy doesn't know the difference between classic characters and characters that have a long lasting face value. Classic characters are the ones that have been "retired", that can be brought up in videogame conversations for nostalgia purposes and characters with a long lasting face value can be used over and over again because no matter how old they are, they are still fun as hell to play. Take Mario for example, dude has been running circles around the videogame world for decades and the reason for this is simple. HIS GAMES ARE FUN AS HELL TO PLAY! Same thing goes for Link. HIS GAMES ARE FUN AS SHIT TO PLAY! Plus, Nintendo doesn't just stick to the same old style of play for all their characters, they adapt to the times.
There are a few videogame characters on my list that really should be retired...and when I say retired I mean put in a coffin, have a nice funeral service, buried and then dump concrete over their grave for good measure. Dynasty Warriors as a whole should be retired (Not exactly sure if they are actually retired right now), I personally never liked their games and they're all exactly the same. Master Chief should be retired BUT not until he's in a few more Halo games because he seems like the kind of character they would suck the life and bone marrow out of to make $10. Sonic just needs to take a dirt nap and stay there, his games were great in the 1990's and early 2000's, but now his games are just plain awful and now he needs to be put down. Duke Nukem...this dude is my #1. Three words are all I need to explain why he is #1...Duke Nukem Forever.
The only thing this guy's article was right about, was that some videogame characters should just lay down, but he just came across as a huge Nintendo hater. Haters gonna hate, Nintendo gonna make stupid money.

The way I see it, the author has everything backwards. He seems to think companies like Nintendo that are throwing out the same characters over and over again are worse than companies like Infinity Ward that throw out the same game over and over again. I'd say he's dead wrong, and should be crucified for it.
